Mother may I… Plus, our Mama Rocks winner…

Mothers come into our lives in all sorts of ways - birth, adoption, good family friend, or a mentor. All of them enrich our lives in ways that can never be fully appreciated. It is nice to have that 2nd Sunday in May to really give them some kuddos, but we should really try to celebrate our Moms whenever we can.

A simple voicemail or handwritten note to let them know they have touched our lives would really be sweet. To remember the “mom” in your life - set a reminder in your calendar to reach out! It would be easy and sweet way to connect when its unexpected! Whether it be small or large, any token of appreciation will bring a smile to their face and a warmth in their heart.

So, get geared up to celebrate your Mom and make her feel special!

Our Mama Rocks winner…

We had a wonderful response to our Mama Rocks contest on Facebook! It was great to see so many of you reach out and give a SHOUT OUT to some great moms out there. Many of the posts brought tears to our eyes. It was great to see all the love that is out there.

So our winner is…Eleanore Deacon Henry! She was nominated by her daughter Becky Nissen. Here is what Becky had to say about her mom:

“My mom is Eleanore Deacon Henry. She is a grandma to 28 beautiful grandbabies, and a Mom to 7 amazing kids. ;) She also is devoted to being a wonderful foster parent. She is the most wonderful secret superhero that I truly look up to! ”

Thank you to all the “moms” that were nominated. All of you have touched so many more lives than you will ever know.
