Yesterday, my 18 year old son dropped to the floor to pet and greet our dogs when he came home from school. I reflected and saw that same boy at 5 years old doing the same thing in the same doorway in what seemed like just yesterday! Now he’s off to college soon, in addition to another boy in our PJ Greetings family this year, and Graduation Season is even more special to us this year!
Remember the knee scrapes and pig-tails? Those days and years fly by so fast. The truth is, until one is a parent, it’s not comprehensible how fast it really does go by! Each year is a milestone not only for our children but for us as parents! We are so proud of their accomplishments but our hearts ache just a tad to see them growing up.
Here at our PJ Greetings HQ, our staffers have children ranging from 2 years old to 19. With such a wide age range, the stories we share go from ” why do the terrible 2’s start before 2 and last so darn long?” to “Where’s your graduate going to college?”. Sharing those stories bring memories back and a sharp reality of what is to come!
Regardless of what grade your child is graduating this year, it is an accomplishment for them and for YOU as their parent! Celebrate your graduate and all the wonderful memories leading to that point!
